Ta Kalamia

I had dinner at Kohylia and absolutely loved it! We sat outside and had amazing views of the sunset, while sipping a great Greek white wine called Four Lakes. The food was great and staff was super attentive. My three year old daugther was tired and fell asleep. They put two chairs together to make her a bed and even got her a blanket. Would definitely go back!

Our driver to the temple of poseidon took us here and we hated it. We got there at 6pm and there was nobody there but us the owner, a woman [probably owners wife] and a 6&#39;5, 250# waiter. We told the waiter that we weren&#39;t that hungry and that we would have just the fried calamari and the mussels appetizers plus a couple of beers. He acted mad that we wouldn&#39;t eat the 5# fish he pushed us to buy. The menu said that the fried calamari was from frozen and the waiter pointed that out and tried to get us to order the fresh for 38 euro per kilo. We again said that was too much food and just the fried would be fine. The food came out fast, almost too fast because the mussels were kinda cold and 4-5 of the 20 or so never opened. I was actually scared a bit to eat them. The calamari was rubbery and bland because there was no sauce, just lemmon. My wife actually hide some of the calamari in a napkin because she wanted to feed the cats with it. We were presented with the bill and it was 46 euro for 2 beers, calamari app and mussels app. I said this could not be right and the big waiter said we ordered the fresh not the frozen and the bill said that our small plate of calamari was 31 euro and that it was .8 kilos! That is almost 2 pounds! There was only maybe 20 small rings and tentacles on the 10 inch plate...the normal size app. I protested and they again said I ordered it. At this point I stood up and said I wasn&#39;t going to be ripped off and I refused to pay. Our driver then took them aside [he knew them and probably got a kickback] and after a few minutes they took 20 euro off the bill. The manager said it was a mistake, but I don&#39;t believe it. Rip off!
